The Pre-marital Chronicles – Defining the roles

After announcing our engagement, Quennie and I have finally started planning for our wedding next year. We attend a wedding fair, browsed magazines, and searched for ideas in the internet. In two weeks, we already felt some stress planning for the big day. So to ease the burden, we agreed to divide the task in the planning. It was pretty simple.

Hers

  • Decide on the motif, gowns, budget.
  • List the entourage, sponsors, guests, and follow-up attendance.
  • Contact vendors for venue, caterer, dress, etc.

His

  • Say “Yes” to all her plans.
  • Give a convincing nod as often as possible.
  • Blog about the wedding preparations.

Fair enough for me.

Anyway, for more updates on our wedding preparations, you can visit our weddingannouncer.com website here. Take the quiz if you like or just browse through our pictures. Check back once in a while to get updates as we get closer to our big day.

That is so unfair, just what did you do to Que for her to agree with that arrangement? Neways, good luck to both of you, and in a way, it will be less stressful indeed if you will just “yes” to all her plans, hehehehe. I don’t see the stress in your pics though, but smiles of happiness and excitement from the coming event.

  5. congrats! makes me want to blog about the financial aspects of getting hitched hehe

You really should blog about it. When we plot our budget and expected expenses, we were speechless. We dont even have budget for the honeymoon yet. Hehehe… Anyway, Im also working on a lot of DIY possibilities for the wedding preparations like the invites, giveaways, tokens, gowns, etc. We were able to make significant savings projections if our DIY ideas will materialize. I’d be writing them down soon. Taga-blog lg naman ako e. Hehehe.

  6. good luck, tama yang lists of things to do mo, perfect husband material ka talaga πŸ™‚

Finally, someone who agrees with me. πŸ˜€

  7. Jin, you should add “Give occassional back massage when Que gets stressed out.” to your list.

I think it’s great you’re willing to follow her lead. Don’t forget to be there when she wants (or needs, cause we all become a Bridezilla at some point during the planning) to take a step back from it all.

Bridezilla! What an accurate description πŸ˜€

  8. hahaha…yes dear?
