July was such a great month for everyone. Peso was rising. Two Filipinos winning World Titles in boxing. Angel Locsin moving to ABS-CBN. SONA reporting progress in the country (although it was highly disputed, as usual). Company stock was upbeat early this month. Transformers was awesome. Harry Potter finally ends.
Personally, I loved July. I received a good bonus from our company. I sold some of our company stocks at a good price. (The tax was heartbreaking, too.). I finally got an offer to work on a new company and might be moving sooner than I thought. Mama is safe from more serious health problems. And our church activities for the youth are doing well for the past months. More new people are getting involved actively.
I have been praying for these things to happen. I am glad they did. I am most thankful for those things I received that were more than I was praying for. They overwhlem me.
I’d like to share a song that inspired me for the whole month as I anticipate these things that I wish will happen. The song “Carry You” reminds me that if God can do all those great things then I can rely on Him to take care of my worries. I just have to let go of all those struggles and let Him carry me. The lyrics of the song is posted below.
Carry You
by Amy Grant
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child, my child
Coz I can walk on water
And calm a restless sea
I’ve done a thousand things you’ve never done
And I’m weary watchin’
While you struggle on your own
Call my name, I’ll come
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child, my child
I give vision to the blind
And I can raise the dead
I’ve seen the darker side of Hell
And I returned
And I see those sleepless nights
And I count every tear you cry
I know some lessons hurt to learn
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child
Lay down your burden, I will carry you
I will carry you, my child, my child
I will carry you, my child
